About Me

My photo
Hi! my name is Lisa, and my company is Little Angel Knits. As the name suggests I mostly knit, but I occasionally dabble in other arts as well. The name of my company derives from my niece. She is such a miracle, and she inspired me to start knitting even before she was born. I am just starting out, but keep checking in to see how I do pursuing my dream!

I have knitted my Mesh Moebius pattern with Baby Merino, and it is really nice to use as a scarf this time of the year, so I thought I would encourage others to try it! November 11 and 12 the pattern will be on sale, 50% off! Available from Ravelry: http://www.ravelry.com/redeem/little-angel-knits?sale=16330
I'm new to the practicalities of shopkeeping so let me know if you have issues with the discount!

Another cast-on that I use often I call the rib cast-on. It's a variation of the long-tail cast-on that produces an elastic edge that looks really good with ribbing. You can watch Eunny Yang from Knitting Daily Tv demonstate it!

I am soon ready to publish a new pattern, it is being test knit as I type! The pattern, Josefine, is another moebius in an open lace pattern, and as with the Mesh Moebius it is important to cast off loosely. Once again, Jeny Staiman has come up with a good one, and you can see a tutorial video here:

My sister is a talented clothes maker, and her blog LyllosMig features her different projects. She does a lot of up-cykling, making over old clothes into more personal garments. Recently a post about some knitting projects I have made for her was featured on Stylegawker (it's #3317).   Thanks Sis! Next time I would like it to be your creativity in the spotlight!

For those of you not familiar with Ravelry, you can now download my patterns directly from this site! For now I have added  links on the blogposts about the patterns, but I will try to figure out a better solution so that they are easy to find!

Last summer I worked on another moebius design for my mom. I experimented a lot and came up with a new way of casting on and a special lace that works best as a moebius design. (I can't claim to be the first to invent these but I haven't found anything like them anyway.)
By the time I was finished with writing up the pattern it was past summer and well into fall, and since the design is more of a summer project, I put it on ice. Now I am looking for test knitters on  Ravelry before publishing it, follow the link if you want to volunteer! Here's some pictures as a sneek peek! Let me know what you think!
